Smart Essentials covers the hallway and lounge at £1,499 inc. VAT; Total Comfort at £3,999 inc. VAT extends it to whole-home lighting control with scenes such as Good Night and Movie Time; Lutron, Crestron and Control4 lighting on a full-home system is surveyed first. The Essentials package needs no rewiring.
The home survey is the consultation. An engineer visits the property, listens to how you live and designs the lighting, heating, blinds and security around it, then sends a written recommendation, a device placement plan and a fixed quote. It costs £99 inc. VAT and is credited in full against any booking of £500 or more. Boardroom Control at £4,499 adds one-touch presentation mode with automated blinds and projector screen, scene lighting and video conferencing integration. Building Manager at £9,499 centralises BMS integration, access control, occupancy tracking and energy reporting with automated schedules and maintenance alerts.
Do I need to rewire?
Not for the Essentials package. Smart switches and a thermostat replace what is there. Whole-home lighting and blinds on the larger packages may need some cabling, which the survey confirms before you commit.
Which brands do you install?
Crestron, Lutron and Control4 for full-home systems, and mainstream app-based kit for the essentials. We tell you what is in your package before the visit.
Will it work if the internet goes down?
Lights and heating still work from the switches and the thermostat. Remote control and voice need the internet; the local controls do not.
Do you maintain the system after it is installed?
Yes. CarePlan Home at £199 a year inc. VAT gives an annual health-check visit for your smart devices, cameras and alarm, with remote support included. CarePlan Home Plus at £349 a year inc. VAT gives two service visits with firmware and app updates.
What happens after the install?
The engineer sets everything up on your phone, walks you through the scenes, photographs the work and asks you to sign off. Only then is the invoice issued.
